This 5 day party benefits The Dade Human Rights Foundation and other Gay organizations throughout Dade County as well as the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. This is Miami’s oldest Gay and Lesbian circuit party. The Care Resource organization (the largest and oldest in South Florida) is the benefactor of proceeds for this event which raises money for HIV/AIDS. This event spans 10 days. This event can sell out tickets a year in advance.

This event is based in South Beach with film screenings throughout the Miami-Dade and Fort Lauderdale area.  Films are targeted to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender population and are critically acclaimed. With 25 years under it's belt this international film festival shows dramatic and documentary films. The MIFF has seen a phenomenal growth with over 70,000 people attending last year. There were over 300 filmmakers showing in 2007. MIFF also has workshops for students, up and coming film artists and works closely with Miami-Dade University. Merrill Lynch Arteaméricas is the world’s premier fair of art from Latin America. The 2007 fair features 70 of the best galleries from close to 20 countries in the Americas and Europe and showcases more than 300 renowned and up-and-coming artists. Held on the 1st Friday of every month, this event contains laser shows, hands on experiments, exhibits, and access to the Weintraub Observatory.  Of course there is the planetarium which has a different laser show monthly.

One of the largest street festivals in the country culminating in a carnival costume parade.  The activities start 2 weeks prior with mini parades, DJ's, steel bands and local celebrities.  The carnival carries a Caribbean flavor and there is no shortage of Caribbean food.

As you can see the annual Miami boat show takes place at three different locations! This show is produced by the NMMA which is the trade association of the recreational marine industry.  This is a perpetual wall to wall exhibit of boats and related recreational marine transportation and accessories.
