Downtown Miami
Florida
The downtown area of Miami is
undergoing a renaissance. With
an influx of European and Latin
investors, in the down town area we
are seeing a major transformation
form the old downtown to the new and
up and coming downtown Miami. Older
properties are being redone as loft
apartments as well as projects such
as new
construction for condos.
As with many
downtown redo projects done by other
cities there is a desire and need to
live and play close to work.
With the downtown area of Miami
being the hub and financial center
for local and international business
this idea makes good sense. You may book a hotel for business or
pleasure in downtown Miami here.
Downtown Miami may be able to avoid
the real estate slump which has hit
our nation as of last year, with the
lure of properties in the price
range of upper and middle class investors, downtown Miami is a beautiful place
to live and work.

The downtown area of Miami
includes all of the islands in
Biscayne Bay on which the city
borders with the Port of Miami
included. The area encompasses
The Central Business District of
South Florida, Brickell
Avenue/Biscayne Boulevard, which is
the main road heading north or
south. Also the main east west
route is Flagler street. Most
people take advantage of public
transportation, the Metromover
system, Metrorail and the Miami-Dade
county heavy rail system. For
more information on the Miami-Dade
public transportation systems please
see our
Miami FYI page.
Even with the slump in our nation's economy and especially the housing
market, the city of Miami may be able to pull off the downtown area
revitalization project with the interest of foreign investors into the area.
Here is a map of the area, the smiley face symbols denote where the
city of Miami Neighborhood Enhancement Team plan to restore and revitalize
areas. Thus we should and already are seeing an expansion of downtown
Miami.
