All About Miami Beach & South Beach Florida
Miami Beach Fl is not to be
confused with Miami Fl as it is a
separate city. Miami Beach
consists of 3 sections: North Beach,
Mid Beach and the infamous South Beach or as the locals call
it SoBe, this the southern part of the
city of Miami Beach. Miami Beach is
located on an island separating
Biscayne Bay from the Atlantic
Ocean. The city of Miami Beach
Fl is separated from the city of
Miami by 3.5 miles of water and is
connected to the mainland by 3
bridges. With South Beach
being the most popular we will start
there.
South Beach -
Popular Beach Area of Miami Beach Fl
South Beach was the first area of
Miami Beach to be developed with
housing and businesses in 1910.
After a hurricane wiped the area out
in 1926 it was rebuilt which
accounts for the famous Art Deco
style buildings that are found
there. The nightclub scene dates
back to the 1950's.
Oh the excitement at the talented people that
visit or live here! Because of it's
eclectic style and tropical
environment an artist community
thrives in South Beach. South beach
is full of talented musicians, DJs,
artists, dancers, models, actors and
directors...ah well the list goes on
and on. In short, South Beach
is full of beauty and talent. What
an exciting and inspiring
atmosphere.
Today South Beach is a major
entertainment destination with
people flocking from all over the
world to visit the hundreds of
restaurants,
shopping establishments,
nightclubs and
oceanfront
south beach hotels. In fact German is
the third most spoken language here
after English and Spanish.
South Beach has
also become a headquarters for the
fashion, art, music and film
industries. South Beach is
also famous for topless sunbathing,
beautiful models (male and female)

Mid Beach Miami Beach Fl
This area of Miami
Beach is more of a quiet residential
area with supporting businesses.
There is one club there, The Forge,
but otherwise the area is like any
other town, in other words close to
the touristy SoBe but a family
oriented community. There are
several public and private schools
including 2 Montessori schools
With your usual
businesses such as doctor's offices,
banks, hardware stores and a post
office, Mid Beach is very much like
any other town. This area may
be the perfect place for families or
professional singles to settle and
still be close to the activities in
SoBe and the Arthur Godfrey road
which is the main road into Miami
Beach off the Julia Tuttle Causeway.
A large Jewish
population is here, there is also a
large Catholic Church, along with a
non-denominational church.
North Beach Miami
Fl
The city of Miami
Beach is focusing on developing this
area with North Shore Park (a
beautiful place to picnic), a center
of Recreation for adults and
children. A band shell and
park area off the beach offer more
fun in the sun on North Beach Plans
are underway for further development
in the North Miami Beach area. North
beach is urbanized in the area of
63rd to 71st and businesses are
located heavily in this area.
See our real estate page for more info.
The lower part of
North Beach is inhabited by an
Argentinean population. This is why
this area is called Che Beach or
Baires Beach. There are great
restaurants here to go with the
Argentine culture.
